The topic

The webinar will provide an overview of the newly published standard for Knowledge Management systems.
The objectives, the core principles, the general structure and the key areas covered by the standards will be discussed.
It will also be the opportunity to consider to what extent the KM practitioners would benefit from using the standards along with some of the limitations of the approach.

The speakers

Nicolas Dubuc, “Michelin Fellow” for Technology Intelligence and Knowledge Management at Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
He has been working for Michelin since 2006. Previous to Michelin, Nicolas was in charge of R&D technological Intelligence and Information System Management, first for seventeen years at Danone and then for five years at Rhodia.
Nicolas Dubuc graduated from Université Denis Diderot (Paris VII) in Biology and Vegetal Physiology, from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Pairs VI) in IT system Engineering and from Ecole de Guerre Economique in Competitive Intelligence.
Nicolas is the chairman of SIG KM  of EIRMA (European Industrial Research Management Association).  He contributes to the first ISO Norm in Knowledge Management with David Lamotte and Jean-Louis Ermine.

David Lamotte, is Head of Knowledge Management at the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the chartered body for health and safety professionals worldwide. Before joining IOSH in 2015, he worked as a Knowledge Management Advisor for Action against Hunger and with the OECD. He also spent 9 years at EY, managing various Global Knowledge Programmes. Before specializing in KM, David worked as the head of digital Services in HR and Publishing agencies.  He is graduated from Paris business school ESLSCA and has a master degree in Management and Information Technologies from IAE Aix-En-Provence.
Since 2009, David is a member of the Club Gestion des Connaissances board, which is part of KM Global Network. He is also a member of the working group ISO/TC 260/WG6 for the development of ISO standards for Knowledge Management Systems (ISO 30401).

Jean-Louis Ermine has a PhD in fundamental mathematics (Paris University Denis Diderot), and a National Research Director Title in computer science ( Bordeaux University).
He worked in the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) as a KM expert for more than 10 years. From 2003 to 2015, he was professor at the national public organisation “Institut Mines-Telecom”, successively director of the Information System department, associate dean for research and associate dean for innovation. He is now Knowledge Management expert and consultant, especially for the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He has written 4 books and more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is president of the French Knowledge Management Club since 1999, an association rallying a lot of French speaking companies, and of the French speaking academic association for Knowledge Management since 2012.
He is the inventor of the Knowledge Management Method MASK, which is now widely used in various companies and organisations in the world.
