Knowledge connected: The role of Fellows & senior experts in KM and value creation for the company

20 & 21 October 2016, hosted by Rolls-Royce, Osmaston Wilmorton Conference Center, Derby, UK

Summary

Fellows and Senior Experts are playing an important role in the creation of disruptive innovations, the development of new business segments, as game changer or industry transformers.
They identify and maximise opportunities to create value, identify and minimise threats to the company, and help define strategic directions of the company (both technological and business).

In this meeting participants will be able to:
• Listen to fellows from different companies share their experiences about how they execute the variety of roles and tasks that their position demands.
• Discuss with them how (as individuals or community) they influence management, peers and researchers within the company; how they exploit their contacts with universities and external professional organisation; and how they affect change to drive value.
• Learn from them how their knowledge is made accessible, shared and valued for the company and the role they play in effective Knowledge Management.

Participants will enjoy a dedicated tour of the Rolls-Royce Turbine Blade Facility and a tour of the brand new Technology Centre, highlighting the latest technological developments in Derby, as well as a tour of Rolls-Royce heritage centre.
