It is possible to restrict part or all of your LDM database to subscribers by using vBulletin's subscription feature.
Use the vBulletin ACP:
- Create a new forum (called for example "Download Subscriptions", and set this as a link to LDM.
- Create a new usergroup (for example "LDM Subscribers")
- Create a new vBulletin subscription to "Download Subscriptions", which adds users to the "LDM Subscribers" usergroup.
If you want all your LDM database to be available only to subscribers:
- Using the LDM->Admin->Permissions page, remove can_access_link permission from all usergroups except "LDM Subscribers"
If you want to restrict only certain categories to subscribers:
- Using the LDM->Edit Category->Usergroup Permissions form, remove can_access_link permission from all usergroups except "LDM Subscribers"
If you want to restrict only certain entries, and these enties do not make up a complete category:
- Using the vBulletin ACP, set the forum permissions for "Download Subscriptions" so that only the "LDM Subscribers" usergroup has can_view_forum and can_view_others_threads permissions
- Using the LDM->Edit Entry form or the LDM->Admin->Mass Edit page, set the Parent Forum for the desired entries to "Download Subscriptions"
