We live in times of big changes. Companies are struggling to come to terms with the rapid adjustments in demands placed upon them and are looking for ways and means to create a thriving future in the New Normal.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides general guidance for action that recognizes that major social and quality of life changes, as well as protection of the planet - can act as a spur to sustainable economic growth.
At the half-way point of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, it is time to take stock, particularly on the contribution of industry to SDG 9: ’Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation'.
R&I management holds the key to a thriving future in the New Normal.
EIRMA’s Annual Conference 2023, focuses on the ways to implement new forms of industrial production, processes and supply chains to develop innovative products within the framework of the circular economy. Specifically, it will look at addressing further development of “THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY” as a sustainable solution and how to transition to it.
Business - From Linear to Circular:
Business leaders and investors are rapidly coming to appreciate not only the commercial risks but also the opportunities in addressing sustainability, rather than simply perceiving it as a constraint.
This means that many more organisations are designing sustainability programmes, and these operational programmes are becoming more and more ambitious.
Typically, strategies are implicitly devised and structured to inspire improvements in the sustainability of existing, linear business models. However, the associated goals and commitments almost always imply a need to:
- Create radically more value from fewer resources
- Reduce and eliminate the environmental degradation associated with the model
In this, companies have replicated some of the central challenges facing the global economy and the planet at large:
- How can we get much more, from much less?
- How can we avoid wrecking the planet while we do it?
NOTE:
Reckoning the above, industry needs indeed to account and develop today, products with the additional constraints of meeting the principles of circular economy.
For that, it does not necessarily require to be notably innovative - but actually, to make compelling technical choices that allow for: durability, reparability, demount ability, etc.

The rate for a single room is 1360,-DKK ( with an additional 200,- DKK for double occupation) breakfast included, city tax not included.

Special additional charge for your accompanying person is 275€. This cost only covers the welcome dinner, the conference dinner and the visit to Kalunborg, not the meetings.
